Queens
The queens at Two Brooks are locally bred in our apiary, from consistently successful lines of Varroa resilient, near-native bees.
Our Queens are naturally open mated and as the main apiary is fairly isolated, it has been possible to gradually improve the breeding lines over the years.
Breeder Queens and Drone mothers are selected from colonies with a good history of Queen longevity, productivity and overall vigour as well as for the traits of Varroa resilience, and calmness.
The breeding program is relatively small scale with an emphasis on quality not quantity and only a small number of Queens will be made available to beekeepers that would like to follow the treatment free path.
Queens are now available to pre-order for May-June 2022. (weather dependent)
There will be a limited number available and they are sold on a first reserved, first served basis. To reserve a queen, pre-order now for 2021.

All Queens are bred from our own untreated, gentle, near-native, localised stock.
All Queens will be colour marked and clipped unless otherwise requested.
Available from end of May/early June depending on weather.
Collection or delivery:
Queens can be collected by prior arrangement from Two Brooks, Cranleigh GU6 8QR
Queens can be delivered by post only by prior arrangement with us. Queens will only be sent by post via Royal Mail special delivery guaranteed by 1:00 pm – Monday to Thursday
All queens must be signed for. Unsigned for queens will be taken back to the sorting office for collection so please make sure you are available to sign for your queen(s) before arranging a delivery with us.
